Access to Capital for All Stages of Business

Availability of capital is an essential component of The Research Valley's innovation infrastructure. It's what differentiates us from most other communities our size.

Together with our regional allies, The Research Valley Partnership offers companies several good programs for accessing capital. Contact us for additional information.

Phase Zero Program
Early stage technology companies located in Brazos County may apply for a Research Valley Phase Zero Grant. Grants can be used to prepare and submit SBIR and SBTT grant proposals to participating federal agencies.

The Research Valley Seed Capital Program
Recently approved by the Partnership's board of directors, the Seed Capital Program will provide early stage seed capital to winners of a regional business plan competition

Research Valley Angel Network
The region is growing a network of investors to bring financial opportunities to member investors and to advance The Research Valley's economy through the growth of entrepreneurial companies.

Emerging Technology Fund
The State of Texas has made $200 million in funding available for funding the State's centers of commercialization, research, and acquiring grant opportunities. Emerging Technology activity is eligible for funding if: Will result in creation of high quality new jobs, immediately or over a longer period, in the state if tied to emerging technology; or has the potential to result in a medical or scientific breakthrough.
